Welcome to Lynn Zakeri LCSW and Associates!
Do you feel like your schedule is too busy for therapy?
Do you feel self-conscious about seeking therapy in person?
Do you live too far from access to mental health resources?
If you’re experiencing these challenges, you’re not alone!
Online therapy, also known as teletherapy or virtual or online therapy, is a convenient, secure solution for individuals who cannot–or prefer not–access in-person mental health resources.
According to the American Psychological Association (APA), “Teletherapy has been shown to be an effective treatment modality for a range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and substance abuse.”
Teletherapy (aka “telehealth” or video sessions or phone sessions) means you can receive counseling from the comfort and convenience of your own home or other private location using a computer or mobile device. All you need is internet service.

How Online Therapy Works
-
- What to Expect During Your Sessions
- I want you to feel better after every visit. A session is 45 minutes and YOU drive the session. We will focus on what you need to focus on and go at your own pace. If you need coping strategies we will come up with those. Our therapy is tailored to your needs, whatever they are.
-
- If you need to get anger from your job off your chest, you can do that, if you need to cry for the entire time you can do that, I move at your pace to allow you to feel better after every session. But I am not simply a listener. I ask a lot of questions to help you move forward with clarity and closure and self-compassion.
- Our online therapy is conducted through a secure, confidential platform that meets the highest practice standards of privacy. Your conversations remain private and confidential.
- A Calming, Welcoming Space
- Online therapy offers the flexibility to meet from the comfort of your home or any location that suits you. Our goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you feel at ease, and ready to share your thoughts and needs. This allows us to work together effectively, helping you make the progress you’re looking for.
